Even before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, obtaining a visa to Russia as a US citizen was a difficult and lengthy process. However, since the war began, Russia has completely banned Americans from entering the country. It’s highly unlikely that the process will become easier even after the war, though perhaps relations will change if Ukraine prevails.
